I do not see any tweets, the widget shows, looks nice, I have styled it and added a username, which I presume is the username for the tweeter I would like to capture and display,. Is there something I have missed?

hey man great plugin, super easy to activate and pick colors, etc.
One issue, I'm on newest wordpress 3.1 and I can not disable avatars from displaying.
By default the box is unchecked but they show up, when "show avatars" box checked - no difference.
Is this a WP 3.1 Issue? Would this be a simple fix?

The sidebar on the theme I'm using is only 240px, so taking out the avatars would help fit more text.. thanks!

Thanks for this, just used this process after attempting it myself with only partial success. I ended up with qmail running the old psa-spamassassin process which was causing all sorts of errors in the log even though it seemed to be still successfully rejecting spam.

Following this process I've now got spamassassin running completely independently of Plesk, which is what I needed not having the full Plesk licence.

you probably need FTP to access your theme files on your website, which are located in /wp-content/themes/yourthemename

It's useless now.
Currently this field can be renamed under BuddyPress -> General Settings -> Full Name field name

Two things that would make this even better:
1. Add # of followers count to top panel for the profile view.

2. Need a fix for turning off twitter images when displaying profile twitter using Arras Theme (http://www.arrastheme.com/). The button is unselected in admin screen, but image still shows up in twitter stream. Note: I am using dnspreview before launching my site. Please let me know if this might not be running right for that reason.

Hi,

I am saving my user id in session and I am redirecting my page to twitter for authentication using OAuth. Twitter is redirecting to my page after successfull authentication. Here, i am not able to get the stored session before redirection. What could be the problem? i am not using any exit() or die() statement in my code.

note : I am using cakephp

I really like this advice, it is often I choose my own but this what you have explained helps people that want to do it themselves, which I admire you for. Also ratings are so important you are so right there. Wordpress is such an easy option but easy to be caught off guard and easy to be hacked without the right knowledge, pleased good advice like this is out here in cyber land.

not that I'm aware of... it´s still just a field with information essentially, it´s not a way for you to log in.

Yes, this is not something you'd do on a live machine, only under certain circumstances (e.g. few mails, all spam etc.)

Pardon my noob question, but will this delete the messages in the queue waiting to go out, or will this just tidy things up so that the message that are waiting to go out can have a better chance of being sent? From my vague understanding of this, it seems like it's just going to whack everything and start over fresh. (And that's a good way to make people grumpy)
